that non-human primate data will only be collected from:
a. An animal is
undergoing an anaesthetic procedure in a state registered institution.
b. The primate is
receiving an anaesthetic or is placid or tame enough to allow digit
measurement
to take place
without general anaesthesia. In the latter case ‘tame’ and ‘placid’ are
states judged
by the
professionals handling the animal.

data collector will be bound by ethical and safety protocols laid
down by the institution in which
they
work and no primate is to be harmed or distressed by data
collection. If the individual becomes
distressed, data collection should be abandoned immediately.
